There are a lot of reasons why people are scared of carnival rides. Some people are scared of carnival rides because of what is commonly know as "coasterphobia"  but it is a completely irrational fear. In most cases Coasterphobia stems from acrophobia, claustrophobia, or a traumatic event. Acrophobia is the fear of falling from great height, some people that suffer from acrophobia cant even climb up the stairs to the upper floor. Claustrophobia is the fear of being in small places or physical restraint. But other people are scared or carnival rides because of the stories they heard or something they had seen while being at the carnival.

  1. john, maybe you could add some photos, also there are many other parts of a Carnival. Not just rides, it would be nice to see you expand this blog.

    1. thats what most people are afraid of when they ride the kamakaze but when they set the rides up they make sure nothing is damaged or parts missing and everyday they test the rides and make sure that nothing is wrong with them

  4. I've heard of lots of people who are scared of roller coasters. One friend of mine is convinced that they're put together poorly and are just a death trap waiting to happen. It's cool to see the different parts you've put into your idea of "coasterphobia".

You could do a whole of being scared of circuses or something. Fear of clowns. Fear of animals. Fear of carnival folk. I dunno, just some random thoughts.
